Manchester barn wedding photographer: Sarah + Ross

I do love a good barn wedding! Sarah + Ross tied the knot in a rose garden, followed by garden games with their favourite people and dinner and dancing in the most beautiful 300 year old barn.

Tora was fantastic, from start to finish. We weren't really sure what we wanted when we started looking at wedding photographers, all we knew is that we wanted really natural photos of people having a great time. I came across Tora and her photos were exactly what we were after. We had an engagement shoot with her, which we were initially nervous about, but she put us totally at ease and we ended up having a great day on the beach. When it came to the day, Tora captured our wedding perfectly, with some really lovely moments. She was so supportive throughout the whole process- I could let recommend her highly enough.”

I adore weddings like this - lots of lovely people having a brilliant time in utterly stunning surroundings.

Here is their beautiful day…

Manchester wedding photographer: Kate + Tom rugby pitch wedding

Kate + Tom said ‘I do’ in boiling hot sunshine on a rugby pitch surrounded by their absolute favourite people. I loved being their wedding photographer - I went to secondary school with Kate and it was so great to catch up after all these (many, many!) years.

Their wedding was EXACTLY the kind I love - bloody awesome people, excellent food (we’re talking pie, mash and gravy!!), great music, funny and heartfelt speeches, and ultimately, just a really good, fun party.

Kate and two of her bridesmaids were pregnant - that definitely didn’t stop them having fun though (and by fun, I mean being totally up for getting some fairly ridiculous photos!)

I love how Kate + Tom styled their wedding too - really elegant, rustic picnic benches that were perfect for the speeches and allowed guests to really socialise and enjoy Kate’s mum Jan’s homemade gin!

Kate + Tom met on Tinder and they’d created table places for guests with faux Tinder profiles (I even got one!) and their guests LOL’d their way around the benches to find out where they were sitting.

Oh and mega colourful confetti…I would not be disappointed if this was at every wedding I did forever more. I just love it.

And to top off all this excellence, we got the most cracking golden hour - which is basically every wedding photographer’s dream. The most stunning light that makes everything dreamy and golden.

Anyway, enough of my gushing - here are some of my faves from their gorgeous, laid back wedding…

Manchester wedding photographer: best of 2018

Ah 2018! What a year! 2018 was a year of colourful confetti, belly laughs, happy tears and the hottest summer for yonks! My couples had really different types of weddings - festival, back garden, church, manor house, pub garden, rugby pitch, barn - but the one thing they all had in common? Mega laid back, wonderful human beings who all knew how to throw an awesome party!

In 2018 I moved from Brighton to Manchester - a pretty huge and exciting change! I’m looking forward to meeting lots of lovely Manchester couples over the next year and exploring the city more in the summer.

I love this job so much, and I just want to say an enormous thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my fantastic couples who put their trust in me and allow me to be a part of their day. You all rock! And thank you to all the wonderful suppliers I have met and worked with over the year for making this job even more fun. It took me longer than I’d expected to create this post as it was genuinely so tough to whittle last year’s photos down to a manageable amount!
